I have been asked to clarify that the opinions on this website are not of the commitee, supporters, cows on the square, scorers etc...

Hopton Mills Cricket Club is located in Lower Hopton, Mirfield, West Yorkshire. The club established in 1896 has a strong tradition in village cricket. The clubs original founder can still be found pictured behind the Bar. The club has had great success in producing quality junior cricketers (the future of todays game) who have been fortunate enough to go on and play at a higher standard. As a club we believe that junior development is vitally important and are always looking for talented young cricketers to join our ranks but just as important we are looking for those (both junior and senior) that share our passion and commitment for the game.

Pre-season friendly Hopton Mills vs Adwalton

friendly2006b.jpg

Saturday 15th April 2006.  Breath was held for good weather & that the roller wouldn't start to sink into the field again. Luckily it didn't...............this time.  The weather managed to hold until after the game.  Hopton batted first.  I have been informed from a source, that isn't quite sure that the score was 230 after 40 overs and Adwalton 160 all out.

Good luck to all teams throughout the 2006 season from the webmaster!
